Here is a pic of my fancy new red shoes, and myself in a *ahem* borrowed Trashy Diva dress (get your own at Duchess!) I figured it was high time that you knew what I look like..that way when you come into the shop you can say, "Hiya Brooke!".
The BIG news around here is that we are *quite* close to having our custom stationery lines up and running...So, very soon you shall be able to come in and order letterpressed wedding, baby, and personalized stationery suites. Eek! Isn't this exciting?!

We are pleased to announce that we have just received a fantastic new batch of necklaces by Seattle's own Fernworks. Each piece is unique, and oh so lovely! Birds, flowers, tiny eggs, saffron...captured inside a very neat-o resin. Ah nature!

Don't forget your manners! Send a "Thank You" note, by Egg Press, for that fancy lunch Grandma took you to...she will really appreciate it! We promise.

Gimme Your Stuff is this amazing stuff exchanging blog, and we have decided to take part. I plan on exchanging all sorts of handmade items by different indie artist whose work I carry in the shop. Stationery, jewelry, accessories, as well as some good old Oregon-specific treats! I will even send some yarn I've spun, and something knitted...
I hope to exchange with someone who is interested in these kind of items...I've dreamt of living in Sweden, Norway, Finalnd, Scotland, Ireland, France, and Australia...so exchanges from these places would be totally amazing!

Our Grand Opening Bash was a smashing success! We were happy to meet and greet new customers and friends as well as catch up with old ones. We had a nice write up in the Mercury as well as Ultrapdx.com. Everyone loved our new digs and the fancy Victorian goodies that we made, and of course the Lemon-Gingerale Punch was a HUGE hit!
I have been busy placing orders for lots of new stationery goodies, from I Love Jezebel, Chibi (that is a picture of one of their bags above...) Dog and Pony Show...just to name a few! Duchess has some amazing Esther Williams swimsuits that have been flying off of the racks. Everyone who has tried them on looks fabulous..ladies tiny and curvy...in red polka dots and black...really! A few women have even bought TWO!!!
So, a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has supported up through our move, and throughout the past year! We are looking forward to supplying you with wonderful tiny finds for a long time to come...you rock!

We are happy that you've found us here and are looking forward to keeping you posted on all of the latest goings-on at Memoir.
First, we are MOVING! On May 1st, you will find us around the corner at 909 N. Beech Street, sharing a space with Duchess Clothiers. Yes, we shall soon be one enchanted kingdom, chock full of amazing vintage reproduction and custom clothing, accessories, and a lovely assortment of stationery and paper goods. We can't wait! In fact a HUGE party is in the works for our GRAND OPENING....Yippee-ki-i!
